Barrett's Beyond the Gait Farm Home of Quality Rocky Mountain Horses Going out of Business!!! WELCOME to the Beyond the Gait Farm. Our farm is located in Scottsville, Kentucky. We retired from a public utility after 29 years of service and we were ready for a new career. We became involved with Rocky Mountain horses in the summer of 1998 while traveling in Northeast Ohio. We came upon a horse farm that bred and raised Rocky Mountain horses. We were so impressed with the gentleness of these horses and their eager need to satisfy commands that we started looking for horses that would fit our needs. We looked long and hard but finally made our first purchase in July 2000 from Cross Roads Farm in Fall Branch Tennessee. We purchased "Sewell's Star Copy", a beautiful red chocolate mare in foal Stone's Sam of Cross Roads Farm. In August of 2000 a beautiful foal was born and named "Tootsie" and thus our adventure with Rocky Mountain Horses began. The mission of our farm has always been to raise Rocky Mountain horses with the best temperament with a great gait by selective breeding. We feel we have been successful in this mission. Unfortunately, we will be shutting the gate on the Beyond the Gait Farm and must sell out these wonderful horses. Any reasonable offer will be considered on any or all of these horses.
